James Dashner's Launch Party for The Death Cure

On October 11th my friends and I attended the launch party for James Dashner's The Death Cure at The King's English. James talked about the book, answered audience questions (actually he evaded quite a few of the questions because his agent was in the audience and he's not supposed to talk about movie news or what he's working on next), read from the book and then signed books.

Christy, Bonnie, me, Ali, and Rae with James

As with all events at The King's English and James, it was a fabulous evening!!!

The Death Cure is the final book in The Maze Runner series so none of you have any reason/excuse not to read it. Like the first two books in the series, The Death Cure, will blow you away! Read it NOW!!!

You can read my review of the book here.

Becca Fitzpatrick, Moira Young, Elana Johnson & Michelle Hodkin Book Signing

On October 11th there were two book events scheduled at the exact same time that I wanted to go to. I was so sad that I was going to have to choose between them. Luckily the group of authors that I was going to miss, Becca Fitzpatrick, Moira Young, Elana Johnson and Michelle Hodkin, added a book signing at the Hasting's in Ogden earlier in the afternoon. I was able to sneak out of work early and attend. I was slightly disappointed that the authors didn't get a chance to speak, they just signed books. (Which was all I think they had time to do.) I would have preferred to just hear them speak and not get my books signed but I'm still really happy I got to meet them briefly. It was fast and crazy and fun.
